About me

PICT0801 I work at KIOS Research Center for Intelligent Systems and Networks, at the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, University of Cyprus.

I am interested in: signals and systems, systems theory, computational and artificial intelligence, optimization, control engineering, enviromental modeling and simulation, intelligent systems, statistical learning and pattern recognition. In addition I am interested in the history of engineering and mathematics, and the use of information techology in various domains, such as critical infrastructures, government, education, archaeology, forestry.

My doctoral dissertation is entitled “Fault diagnosis and security monitoring for water distribution systems” and was presented on the 24th March 2011.

I teach robotics to high-school students in my spare time.

I am a member of IEEE, IET, ETEK, and was the Technology Editor in the monthly magazine Synchroni Apopsi (in greek).
